Heart & Habits
Today's highlights would be ~ Singhealth's Living with 5Cs.
Well for those of you whom i definitely think am not aware of what the heck is 5Cs all about, let me begin...
It simply stands for Compassion, Communication, Commitment, Collaboration & Consistency. I shall not elaborate each one of them cos it will definitely take a very long list.
Aniways, these 5Cs will evolve to define the SingHealth culture which will guide us to push for innovation and improvements in services for the patients and families.
With all the hoohaas about the JCI audit which is like around the corner, which i think is about 52 days left, we nurses have to actually know each and every one of those factors. And fyi, these are not it. We do still have other chunks of notes, policies and procedures to revise. I know. Tell me bout it. Who says it's easy being a nurse eyyyy.
I attended today's course with 2 of the juniors from other stations namely Safiah & Shirah. It was super fun with them around and it actually made the atmosphere very lively. Whole lot of activities lined up for us and all requires teamwork.
And that's what i'll benefit from the 5cs: money, satisfaction, good quality of work & conducive working environment.
At the end of the day, i was asked to answer one question...
Motivator: "What is 1 encouragement you would like to give to your coursemates before we part?"
Me: "ermmm...WORK TOGETHER & WE'LL SURVIVE?!"
Hahha. Where the hell did i get that from eyyy.

Being active ~ Good or Bad?
Sometimes being over-active could be dangerous for oneself's health. Without realising you might never know you actually over-exert your own abilities.
Soccer is the passion and indeed the first love for my brother. But now, he had to rest his case due to his slow heartbeat and doctor was querying ~ heart murmurs. How bizarre can that be for a 14yr old chap. After apprehending the fact that our late sister passed away due to heart murmurs, it made him even more deranged and flustered.
I acknowledged him as a very subdued, smart and sprightly individual who could go far, to the best Jr College as affirmed by his form teacher or what they called as the 'group parent' now.
Ouhh brother, don't you worry too much. We'll pray for your health, wellness and future endeavours. Amen.
Love,
Your Sister.

When the going gets tough...
I'm turning more and more weary and easily breathless at work. My lungs are not as puissant as before. I'm physically and emotionally discomposed and am easily agitated these days. I swear my other colleagues shared the same nemesis as me. Well at least i'm not the only one. I laugh, I joked but nobody knows i'm crying inside. Precisely. Nobody knows. The workload just sucked day by day regardless of the responsibilities being imposed to you. Be it in-charge or junior.
My preceptor used to say... "You need to master the junior work before you even think of being the in-charge." And i will remember that for the rest of my life.
And my SeniorNurseManager recently said... "Not answering call bells is a very bad bad thing." Which is true cause 'some' people don't.
Urgh! I'm just tired and rimas. 2 more freaking years of bond and I yearn the fresh air. I'm just suffocated. Seriously.
But then again, i love my job.

Identity
Sometimes you need to step outside, clear your head and remind yourself of who you are and where you wanna be. And sometimes you have to venture outside your world in order to find yourself.
And who am I? That's one secret i'll never tell.
